Purpose of Our Service
Our virtual landline service is designed to help families and loved ones receive cheaper calls from individuals in UK prisons. The aim is to offer affordable and consistent access to communication—within fair, non-abusive usage levels.
To protect our service quality and ensure fair access for all users, we’ve introduced this Fair Usage Policy.
Our service is intended for personal use only, and must not be:
- Shared across multiple inmates.
- Used for commercial, automated, or business purposes.
- Connected to PBX systems, SIP gateways, or other bulk-routing systems.
- Used in any way that circumvents prison telephony systems or policies.
Usage Limits
To maintain network quality, we apply the following monthly usage thresholds:Inbound Calls (from prison to your virtual landline):
- Up to 3,000 minutes per month per number.
- Simultaneous Active Lines: Limited to 1 active landline per inmate (unless authorised in writing).
- Outbound Forwarding/Redirection (from our landline to your mobile or landline): Up to 3,000 minutes per month to UK landlines and mobiles (EE, Vodafone, O2 & Three).
Usage beyond these limits may be considered excessive, and will be monitored.
Excessive or Abnormal Usage
You may be contacted if your usage appears to:
- Be significantly higher than the average customer.
- Suggest shared or non-personal use.
- Disrupt the integrity or availability of our service to others.
- Violate prison rules or national regulations.
If we believe you are in breach of this Fair Usage Policy, we reserve the right to:
- Apply charges at our standard per-minute rate (see our website for details).
- Restrict, suspend, or cancel your service with or without prior notice.
- Refuse future service or account reactivation.
